Essential Functions 

  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and use of therapeutic communication skills.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of mental disorders, as they affect the population they serve.
  •  Document clinical services.
  • Exhibits teamwork in patient care
  • Act independently, with minimal supervision, utilizing time and resources effectively.
  • Demonstrate professional accountability.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to all ages and cultures served.
  •  Work effectively under pressure, prioritizing demands from multiple sources, professionally.9. Implement measures that provide for the safety of the unit, patients/families and peers.
  •  Lead psycho-educational groups

Qualifications and requirements 

  • Minimum one (1) year mental health experience preferred.
  • Associate of Arts (AA), Bachelor's of Science (BS), Arts (BA) or Social Work (BSW) Degree in social service/behavioral science preferred.
