Weight Management Coach provides personal 1:1 nutritional guidance, education, encouragement, motivation, and accountability to patients in the Ideal Proteins program.  The Coach exhibits outstanding customer service skills and has a passion for health and well-being. A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and reverence for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.

Embraces and encourages compliance with the Ideal Protein Medical Weight Management Program.

To provide guidance, encouragement, motivation and accountability in the Proteins program, it is critical that the successful candidate lead by example.  The successful candidate will have previously participated in the Ideal Protein Program or will have initiated participation in the program within one (1) month of hire. The coach is expected to fully embrace, promote, and actively participate in the Ideal Protein Program to fulfill this position’s essential functions. The coach is expected to make progress toward their personal goal weight and achieve and maintain at least an acceptable amount of body fat within the Tanita scale desirable range. The coach will be weighed, and body fat monitored twice per month using the Tanita scale. Because successfully portraying the program is an essential function of the position, a coach with three consecutive assessments of no decrease in body fat percentage may be subject to discipline, up to and including termination. The coach will continue on the program until the acceptable body fat measure is achieved (less than 31% for women and less than 24% for men). Lourdes Health Network will subsidize 40% of the expense of the program.  The coach is responsible for any remaining financial expense.

  1. Other: Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking abilities preferred and ability to work with a culturally diverse population. Occasional evenings/weekends required for educational presentation and dieters.
  1. Provides weekly coaching.
  2. Closely monitors, organizes, analyzes, and documents client progress.
  3. Demonstrates competence and understanding of Ideal Protein Program.
  4. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Works collaboratively with LHN Clinic Medical Providers, other health professionals and clinic personnel.
  6. Monitors product volumes and coordinates closely with LHN Materials Management department ensure availability of products.
