Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate, high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens, adults, and seniors. We provide a full-range of evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art healing environment. Programs include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).
How you'll contribute
The Pharmacist is responsible for coordinating and providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, within a behavioral health setting. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, this role requires evaluating, interpreting, and verifying medication orders to ensure safe, effective, and accurate drug therapy. The pharmacist participates in interdisciplinary care teams, manages drug therapy protocols, and provides drug information and education to healthcare providers, patients, and pharmacy students. This position involves documenting clinical interventions, contributing to quality improvement efforts, and utilizing automated dispensing systems such as Omnicell or Pyxis. Candidates must hold a valid MA pharmacy license and possess strong critical thinking skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with nursing staff and prescribers.
