How you'll contribute

A Pharmacy Technician who excels in this role:

• Prepares and labels patient drug orders as directed by the pharmacist.

• Delivers medications to medication rooms and nursing stations, as appropriate.

• Reviews anticipated admissions and medication administration records (MAR) to plan deliveries to automated dispensing machines.

• Restocks usable medications/IVs returned to the pharmacy; files medication orders per department procedure.

• Replenishes automated medication dispensing machines and documents activities per policy.

• Communicates stock utilization and ordering needs; assists with ordering inventory and supplies.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Education: High school diploma or GED.

• Registration: Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy as required by state regulations.

• Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by state regulations.

• Skills: Accuracy and attention to detail; ability to follow written/verbal instructions; familiarity with automated dispensing systems and inventory workflows; dependable communication and teamwork; basic computer proficiency.
