How you'll contribute 

Physical Therapist (PT) who excels in this role:

  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and functional status. 
  • Develops and updates an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, based on goals and capabilities. 
  • Plans, prepares, and carries out evidence-based interventions to maintain, improve, or restore function; alleviate pain; and prevent dysfunction. 
  • Delivers therapy using standard PT techniques and modalities appropriate to patient age and condition (e.g., moist heat/cold, ultrasound, UV/IR lamps, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy). 
  • Administers physical agents and operates PT equipment safely; performs necessary set-up and checks. 
  • Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices; recommends modifications as needed. 
  • Identifies/document goals, anticipated progress, and timelines, plans for reevaluation and discharge. 
  • Directs and supervises PTAs, students, and support personnel; delegates tasks appropriately and ensures clear communication. 
  • Accurately documents assessments, interventions, patient response, education, and progress toward goals
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education; performs other duties as assigned.
