How you'll contribute
A Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant who excels in this role:
Supports Physical Therapist in assessing the condition of patient, planning and following treatment programs,
preparing treatment schedules and keeping accurate electronic documentation on the progress of treatment
and goals.
Assists and administers therapeutic procedures under a Physical Therapist's supervision.
Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.
Can perform patient treatments in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Provides direct restorative care and delegated therapy tasks including passive range of motion, active range of
motion, ambulation, activities of daily living training, special positioning, splint application, restorative dining,
bladder/bowel management and/or retraining in the skilled nursing and long term care setting.
Acts as a resource to staff.
Provides education, guidance, and direction to staff regarding mobility, use of assistive devices and lifts.
Actively participates in weekly IDT and QAPI meetings.
Performs other job duties as assigned.

Education: Associate's degree Required; Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
Licenses: Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of MI
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
