Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Conroe is a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) located at 1500 Grand Lake Drive in Conroe, Texas. It's designed for patients who are medically complex and require extended recovery time-often following a stay in a traditional hospital ICU.

  • Specialized Care: Treats serious conditions like respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, complex wounds, and congestive heart failure. Many patients need ventilators, dialysis, or IV therapy.
  • Multidisciplinary Team: Offers intensive and telemetry-level care with a team of physicians, nurses, and therapists who create personalized treatment plans.
  • Joint Commission Accreditation: Recognized for high-quality, evidence-based care in long-term acute treatment, with a focus on continuous improvement

How you'll contribute:

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring function and improving mobility.

Essential Functions

  • Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
  • Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
  • Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

  • Team-oriented and patient-focused with strong communication skills.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Education: Associate's degree from a PTA program.
  • Experience: Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
  • License: Current PTA license in state of practice.
  • Certifications: CPR certification required.
