How you'll contribute
A Polysomnographic Technologist (Certified)who excels in this role:

Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history).

Determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician, medical director, or clinical coordinator and laboratory protocols.

Review the patient's history and verify the medical order.

Follow Sleep Center protocols.

What we're looking for
Applicants should possess knowledge of usage of CPAP/BIPAP devices, oxygen administration, and application of devices. Computer literacy with at least basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Additional requirements include:

High School Graduate or equivalent.

Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology ORsuccessful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a sleep technologist ORother allied health credential (RRT, CRT, LPN, RN) with completion of Sleep Credential from BRPT, ABSM, or NBRC within 12 months of employment.

Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds one of the following: Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) or must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire.

CPR/BLS certification.
