Registers patient information into Med Host and Redoc timely and accurately so that clinical diagnostic testing treatment is performed on the correct patient.
Reports to: Director of Therapy Services

Essential Functions 

Registers patient timely and accurately in Med Host and Redoc, corrects errors as needed.

Verifies insurance benefits and obtain pre-certs if needed, figures out of pocket amounts

Schedules initial evaluations and follow-up visits as well as outpatient MBS through central scheduling.

Collects and post upfront payments in HPS system.

Uses Relay Clearance and AHIQA as intended by LPNT.

Fills in for PBX nights and weekends when appropriate.

Gathers all documents needed to complete the financial and medical record and scans into HMS

Communicates with other departments as need to ensure excellence in patient care.

Ensures that all documentation is scanned in on Registered Accounts

Verifies that all orders have required components; diagnosis, test specified and physician credentialing.

Maintains an "A" QA rating AHIQA

Maintains and adequate level of clerical competence based on department specific skills checklist.

Organizational Expectations 

Actively participates in Foundation Safety Behavior Tools and Tactics such as Briefs, Debriefs, Huddles, Learning Board Activities, Executive Patient Safety Rounds and reporting of unanticipated or unintended patient events regardless of whether there is harm.

Job Requirements 

Minimum Education
Certification from Technical School with an emphasis in Business and Office Administration preferred.
Previous office administration experienced preferred.

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
