Your Role (Job Summary)
As a Registered Nurse, you will ensure the highest quality of patient care by serving as a clinical resource, providing direct care, and supporting patients and families. You'll collaborate across departments, assist physicians, and contribute to a positive and professional environment.
What You'll Do (Essential Functions)
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
- Take appropriate interventions based on identified needs
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric populations
- Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
- Serve as a resource and advocate for patients, families, and team members
Qualifications (Job Requirements)
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Required
Skills:
- Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment
- Ability to thrive in high-stress environments with minimal supervision
Certifications (must be obtained within required timeframes):
- Basic Life Support (BLS): within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): within 1 year
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC): within 1 year
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): within 1 year
Licenses:
- Current RN licensure by the West Virginia State Board of Nursing
