Full Time Days-Evenings  

Schedule 8:30a-9p position in PACU, rotating night/weekend call

Bonus: $15,000

Job Summary & Essential Functions

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. 
• Meets the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families. 
• Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Reports to the Director of Surgery.

• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, 
• Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present; may involve contact with patients, blood, body fluids, or specimens.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex

What we are looking for:

Education: 

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required (current RN licensure accepted in lieu of degree); Bachelor's Degree preferred.

License: /Certifications:

• Current RN license in state of Kentucky or a current multistate license

• BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire (PALS not required for Pain Clinic RNs).
