The Behavioral Health Services at Frye Regional Medical Center South Campus serves as the gateway to care, helping connect patients with the behavioral health services and support they need. Our 83-bed campus provides a safe, therapeutic environment where team members collaborate with experienced clinicians, physicians, and leadership to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.   • 83-Bed Behavioral Health Campus with 24-Hour Security
  • Set Schedule: 3x12s/ Friday, Saturday and Sunday

How you'll contribute 

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Responsible for reviewing clinical documentation from referrals and accepting patients.
  • Works in a fast-paced environment with the ability to gather information and make a determination in less than 15 minutes.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatments.
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

What we're looking for 

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

  • Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Handle With Care certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Two years of Behavioral Health/ Psych experience required.
