The Nursing Director provides strategic and operational leadership for designated nursing departments, partnering with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional, patient- and family-centered care. With 24-hour accountability for departmental operations, this leader oversees staffing, recruitment, team development, quality improvement, and resource management to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based care. The Nursing Director fosters a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement while championing high standards of clinical excellence, accountability, and patient advocacy.
How you'll contribute
A Director of Critical Care who excels in this role:
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Certifications: BLS & ACLS
Licenses: Must have a current state or compact state RN license.
Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
Five years relevant RN experience with 2 years nursing leadership requried
