Our Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center is staffed by a compassionate team of providers, nurses, and technicians with advanced training in wound care management. We care for patients with acute and chronic wounds through evidence-based treatment plans designed to promote healing and improve quality of life. Through a collaborative approach that includes wound assessments, debridement support, patient education, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, our team is committed to delivering exceptional outcomes in a supportive and patient-centered environment.
How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary team members
- Coordinates and implements wound care treatments based on physician orders, evidence-based practices, and patient-specific needs
- Monitors patient progress, evaluates treatment effectiveness, and communicates necessary updates to the provider and care team
- Provides patient and family education regarding wound prevention, treatment plans, self-care, and disease management
- Accurately completes and maintains clinical documentation to support quality care, regulatory compliance, and medical necessity requirements
- Assists with and supports Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments while ensuring adherence to established safety standards and protocols
- Serves as a clinical resource for wound care best practices and promotes quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Maintains compliance with hospital policies, wound care center procedures, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state RN license. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
- Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
- One year of clinical nursing experience required; wound care, outpatient nursing, medical-surgical, or Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy experience preferred.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, clinical judgment, and strong patient education skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to complete specialized training and certification requirements related to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Friday 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
