Essential Functions:

  • Analyzes business processes and data to identify opportunities to automate and/or improve existing processes using information technology.
  • Performs market and industry research to support conclusions and recommendations. Develops and provides recommendations regarding business process/performance improvements.
  • Serves as a consultant to management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.
  • Serves as key customer contact for inquiries and resolution of customer issues.
  • Responsible for helpdesk requests from end users.
  • Responsible for equipment repairs and new equipment installs.
  • Responsible for software installs or software problems.
  • Is familiar with the hospital’s structured cabling system and is able to install cabling as needed.
  • Investigates and resolves issues related to PCs, telecommunications and printers.
  • Assists in maintenance of computer hardware and software.
  • Establishes and maintains a preventive maintenance program for PCs and printers.
  • Assists in development and maintenance of content on hospital’s intranet site.
  • Provides on-call support as scheduled.
  • Maintain and Support Nurse Call System.

Education:  High school diploma is required. Associate's Degree is strongly preferred.

Experience:  Minimum of one year of recent, relevant professional experience in the IT sector. Hospital IT experience is strongly preferred.

Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Maintains focus in an open office environment under extended stressful situations and takes appropriate action.
