The unit clerk will work in a team-based environment and eprform clerical/receptionist duties that support the delivery of quality patient care in their department. The unit clerk will do by providing excellent customer service to colleauges, patients, and visitors. Some of the essential duties on the unit clerk will be: 

  • Directs/assists in the supervision of Patient Care Techs
  • Receives physician's orders, records and completes.
  • Prepares/completes charts on new admissions
  • Transcribes written orders/assists in processing electronic physician orders
  • Pages Code Blue upon direction of staff
  • Keys supply charges
  • Answers telephone/patient call system
  • Communicate with other departments, team members, and hospitals to coordinate client appointments/transportation
  • Process a variety of technical and non-technical reports and materials

Education/License: High school diploma is required. CNA or LPN strongly preferred. 

Experience: One (1) year of hospital experience is strongly preferred.

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) is strongly preferred.
