Position Summary:
The psychiatric mental health nurse will demonstrate the scope of practice as recognized by The American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse: Psychiatric-mental health (PMH) nursing promotes integrated and comprehensive health and wellness through prevention and education, as well as assessment, diagnosis, care, and treatment of the full range of psychiatric-mental health disorders, across the life span. Psychiatric nurses practice transpersonal caring to promote the health and healing of humanity. The practice of PMH nursing is a science and an art, based on evidence and the purposeful use of self and the therapeutic relationship. PMH Nurses provide care at the individual, family/relationship, community, and societal levels to promote well-being and quality of life, as well as to sustain positive health outcomes. We are a level I inpatient adult psychiatric facility with 19 beds.
Behavioral Health, Psychiatric, Mental Health
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Must have an active AZ or Compact RN License.
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse (PMH) certification preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
- Must obtain CPR and HANDLE with Care certification within 90 days of hire.
