How you'll contribute  
A Sleep Lab Manager who excels in this role: 

  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues. 
  • Follows HIPAA and privacy policies to maintain the privacy and security of patient information. 
  • Works collaboratively with the Medical Director, Neurology, Sleep Specialists, and technical staff to maintain quality patient care. 
  • Provides education to patients, community members, and technical staff. 
  • Coordinates routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation. 
  • Demonstrates computer skills appropriate for the position. 
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal skills. 
  • Responsible for clinical operations: through independent judgment provides direction to sleep technicians/EEG technologists and works collaboratively with administrative staff. 
  • Collaborative oversight of Epilepsy Monitoring Unit on 10 Rose where EEG Technicians provide assistance with patient care.
  • Functions as a role model in clinical specialty, demonstrating competency in clinical judgment, select technical skills and appropriate knowledge base stepping into the role of a technologist as necessary.
  • Develops and monitors Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives. Involves staff in initiatives through planning, data collection, and analysis. 
  • Actively participates in evaluation of new products, procedures, and equipment. 
  • Remains aware of current sleep research and assists staff in implementing relevant findings as applicable. 
  • Aligns departmental policies with the standards of the AASM and Joint Commission.

What we're looking for 
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in related field. Additional requirements include: 

  • Four years in experience in Clinical Healthcare.
  • One of the following credentials or eligible within two years: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), or Registered Respiratory Therapist with Sleep Disorders Specialist (RRT-SDS), Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT).
