We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our healthcare team.  The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive timely and efficient care by scheduling appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers, and managing patient information.  The candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 


Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
Minimum Work ExperienceProven experience as a medical scheduler or in a similar administrative role within the healthcare industry is desirable but not required.
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Schedule patient appointments for test and/or procedures while ensuring optimal use of the provider's time and resources.
Greet patients, both in-person and over the phone, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any inquiries regarding appointments, services, or general information.
Maintain the scheduling module by keeping the information current and following scheduling defined processes (ex: review schedule day before to ensure completeness or reschedule).
Accurately enter and maintain patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring all date is up to date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper scheduling based on clinical urgency and availability, including coordinating specialty referrals.
