8 hour shifts. On Call Rotation Required.

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and clerical/administrative activities.

  • Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
  • Ensures supplies and equipment are available and in working condition, including instrument sterilization.
  • Performs designated sterile and aseptic procedures using proper technique (i.e., venipuncture and phlebotomy, IV insertions, and foley insertions). Maintains sterile field while handling instruments during procedures.

The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

Minimum Education
□ High school diploma or equivalent □ Preferred X Required

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Skills
Certifications:
X Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred: Clinical Technician training program.

Minimum Work Experience
Required - 1 year of experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Services Technician, or other clinical position in a hospital setting.

Preferred - Previous surgical or endo experience 

Minimum Education
SGNA , GTS, GI Technical Specialist credential within 6 months of hire
