The Triage RN's role is to assist the practice manager in the day - to - day management of departmental operations and personnel management. The Triage RN must be knowledgeable of, and ensure compliance with, all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards, and will maintain departmental policies and procedures in support of these standards and other organizational initiatives.

  • Provides telephonic and in-person triage, provides education to patients as indicated, serves as a resource to both clinical staff and providers.
  • Acts as clinical lead by maintaining on-going awareness of operational activities and problems, staffing levels and deliverables, provides daily guidance and feedback to staff. Maintains responsibility for the operation of the department at all times and delegates operational authority when absent.

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much, much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

Required Licenses
Registered Nurse
Active VA RN License
X Basic Life Support (BLS) required (may be obtained week of orientation)

Minimum Work Experience
Preferred: 3 years of experience. Requires knowledge of the administration of a physician office and the ability to effectively deal with patients, doctors and/or personnel.
