Position Summary:

Functions as a member of the procedural team by donning gowns and gloves, creating and maintaining sterile fields, and assisting physicians as required.  Maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment and provides assistance with the care of perioperative surgical patients.

Essential Functions
1. Gathers, sets up and breaks down equipment, instruments, and supplies.
2. Assists with non-professional patient care functions before, during, and after procedures.
3. Maintains surgical instrumentation in functional status.
4. Maintains inventories, equipment, and work areas.
5. Performs intra-procedure duties and functions.


Minimum Education
Required Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Two years of college is preferred 
Completion of an approved Surgical Technology program is required.

- Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Critical thinking
- Work well under pressure while keeping calm and remaining customer-focused.

Required License/Certifications:
• BLS required, or obtained during the first week of hire
