Position Summary:

This position maintains supplies, instruments and equipment and provides assistance with the care of gastroenterology/endoscopy patients.

Essential Functions
1. Gathers, sets-up and breaks down equipment, instruments and supplies.
2. Assists with non-professional patient care functions before, during, and after procedures.
3. Maintains scopes and the scope room.
4. Maintains inventories, equipment, and work areas.
5. Performs intra-procedure duties and functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent is Required

Other: Completion of a formal NA or Operating Room Technician course is required.

Required Skills
- Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Critical thinking
- Work well under pressure while keeping calm and remaining customer focused.
Required Licenses
Nursing Assistant
- Up to 6 months experience in a patient-care-related field preferred
- Current/active North Carolina Nurse Assistant license (I and/or II)
- BLS required, or obtained during the first week of hire
