JOB SUMMARY

 Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Geri-psych program.  Provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality care for elderly patients with psychiatric disorders.  Collaborates with interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, therapists, and administrators to develop and implement effective treatment programs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.


Minimum Education
Associate's Degree in nursing requried, Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferred in psychiatric and mental health nursing, or its equivalent, or be qualified by education and experience in the care of the mentally ill.

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in psychiatry or a related field, with progressive leadership responsibilities; in-depth knowledge of psychiatry principles, practices, and evidence-based interventions; & strong understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards for healthcare facilities preferred.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Current and active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee or compact license with the required forms filed with the State of Tennessee within 30 days
