After enjoying authentic hickory-smoked barbeque or fried green tomatoes, you can take in a show at the Staar Theatre opera house at Antoinette Hall. Just outside of town, visit the family-friendly Milky Way Farm or enjoy wine tasting at Big Creek Winery. Outdoor adventures include paddling Big Creek, fishing Tim‘s Ford Lake and exploring the waterfalls and wildlife on miles of trails lacing the Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve. For bigger-city options, Nashville and Huntsville are each under two hours away.
