Our 294-bed hospital offers an array of services including nine multi-specialty physician clinics, a wound center and radiation oncology center, with accreditation from the American College of Cardiology Chest Pain and the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Our cutting-edge technology includes da Vinci robotic surgery, a minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses a robotic platform to assist surgeons in performing complex operations. Local and state parks, including Cliffs of the Neuse, provide outdoor beauty and adventure. Browse shops in our vibrant historic downtown, where dining options range from Jamaican fare to burgers, along with breweries, candy shops, coffee and boba tea. Baseball fans can explore the North Carolina Baseball Museum, cheer on the Wilson Tobs college summer team at historic Fleming Stadium, and, starting in 2026, catch the Milwaukee Brewers’ Single-A affiliate, the Wilson Warbirds, at a brand-new downtown stadium. Be sure to also take in a Carolina Mudcats game nearby.
Concerts and events include the famous North Carolina Whirligig Festival with its art vendors, bands and food – held the first weekend of each November. Wilson is also close to a dozen major colleges and universities, and home to Barton College and the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf.
