How you'll contribute
Manages the daily operations of the assigned departments or functions to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
The Assistant Director of Physician Services is responsible for the operational oversight and direction of assigned provider practice(s). The Asst. Director works in collaboration with the Market Director and facility leadership, focused on implementing strategy and initiatives for practice operations and growth. The Asst. Director will assist the Market Director in Physician services recruitment, provider retention, and management.

- Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
- Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.

Applicants should have:
- Minimum of 7 years in physician practice management, hospital administration, or similar healthcare setting, with specific leadership experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities.
- Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or FACMPE preferred but not required.
