Position Summary:

  • Assists in assuring optimal patient care by delivering basic patient care and performing scrub duties under direct supervision of RN or LPN.
  • Performs clinical skills according to policy and procedure.
  • Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assists in the maintenance of a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
  • Keeps shelves stocked with supplies from Materials Management.
  • Demonstrates professional and personal development.
  • Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served including the neonate/infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.



Reports to: Executive Director of Women's and Children's Services


Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent RequiredGraduate from an accredited LPN program or Surgical Technologist program preferred.Experience as a Surgical Technologist can be used in lieu of degree requirement.

Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
Minimum Work ExperienceExperience as an LPN or Surgical Technologist preferred.
