Job Summary
The Manager-Medical Staff Office is responsible for managing the daily operations and governance functions of the Local MSO by serving as a point of contact for medical staff members, facilitating the medical staff privileging approval process, and supporting regulatory readiness while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
Reviews and prepares credentialing/privileging filesSchedules, coordinates, prepares agenda, takes minutes, and provides follow up for Medical Staff Committee meetings.Prepares summary reports of credentialing/privileging recommendations.Coordinates end-of-committee/governing board privileging processes, ensuring notification of appropriate parties and appointment/privilege database updates.Assists in coordination, tracking and monitoring of OPPE/FPPE processes ensuring compliance with medical staff and regulatory requirements.Facilitates flow/tracking of information from various committees/clinical service meetings through appropriate approval processes.Drives key performance indicators include quality/accuracy of credentialing/privileging files sent to committee(s)/governing board and timeliness of completion of end-of committee/governing board procedures.Completes mandatory annual education requirements.Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, including all state, TJC, and Federal regulations in their area of practice.Performs activities requested by the Medical Staff and Administration as well as fulfills leadership responsibilities.Maintains and updates on-call schedules and list of on call providers.Schedules and facilitates new and ongoing provider orientation.Facilitates Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE), and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and ensures completion of all necessary documents and records.Maintains bylaws and facilitates updates.Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Maintains regular and reliable attendance.Initiate timely appointment, reappointment, and clinical privileging of Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)Coordinates administrative support servicesAddresses the various aspects of complaints and insures appropriate level of interventionInterface professionally with leaders and administrators on all levels of the organizationConduct timely issue follow-up and resolution for physicians, offices, and administrationMaintain a high level of professionalism and dress to act the part every dayManages deadlines around all expectations and deliverablesFollows the Corporate Compliance Program and maintains strict confidentialityParticipates and supports the continuous Quality Improvement process and provides optimum customer serviceUpdates and maintains Orientation Manual and Pocket Guide.Trains and supervises new staff assigned to departmentPerforms other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Minimum EducationAssociate's degree required.Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or Business Administration preferred.
