POSITION SUMMARY: 

As a Data, Analytics and AI Platform Engineer, you will lead the development and management of data models (Ontologies) within a modern AI platform, Palantir, and serve as the AI Platform Administrator, ensuring the platform’s overall stability and addressing user needs. You will work with Palantir and complementary AI tools such as Python and Typescript to build, deploy, and manage data-driven solutions across our healthcare system. In this hands-on role, you will oversee the development and management of data models, analyze large datasets, and integrate AI applications into real-world use cases. In collaboration with the technology department, you will manage the Palantir platform, ensuring efficient data model performance and supporting all aspects of platform functionality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead data model development and oversight within Palantir (30%)
  • Design, develop, and optimize data models (Ontologies) within Palantir to align with business objectives.
  • Create scalable and efficient data structures that support operational and analytical needs.
  • Ensure data model performance meets organizational standards and supports long-term data strategy.
  • Put models/applications into production and ensure end user engagement
  • Serve as the Primary Platform Engineer, partnering with technology to maintain platform performance (25%)
  • Manage platform requirements, performance, and stability in collaboration with the technology team, ensuring end-user support.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot platform functionality to ensure reliability in production environments.
  • Partner with the technology department to align on cloud and infrastructure requirements, ensuring seamless integration with organizational infrastructure.
  • Develop and deploy AI-driven applications to support healthcare workflows (20%)
  • Create end-to-end AI-driven applications using Palantir, Python, and Typescript, focusing on efficient data pipeline management and solution integration.
  • Ensure applications are reliable, scalable, and meet the healthcare system’s data and analytics needs.
  • Perform data analysis to generate insights that drive decision-making (15%)
  • Analyze large datasets to uncover actionable insights that inform decision-making and support healthcare goals.
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, optimize processes, and address organizational challenges.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate solutions and optimize data governance (10%)
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support the seamless integration of analytics solutions into healthcare workflows.
  • Provide expertise in data governance, model management, and performance optimization.

Required Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5-10 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or analytics roles.
  • Proven ability to translate broad business concepts into effective and scalable data solutions.
  • Strong experience in data model development and oversight ensuring efficient data management.
  • Experience in identifying root causes, conducting performance assessments, and designing solutions to improve system efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with data and analytics applications including platform administration, performance optimization, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, and TypeScript for querying, data manipulation, and large dataset management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in maintaining and troubleshooting production environments.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with senior leadership, IT, and business stakeholders to address strategic challenges and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Strong communication skills to bridge technical concepts and business insights for non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Palantir AI platform (or the ability to obtain it within the first year of employment).
  • Familiarity with other AI and data science platforms such as Dataiku, DataRobot, or similar, for building and deploying scalable analytics solutions.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar, for creating intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and reports.
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques to design scalable and efficient analytics frameworks.
  • Advanced understanding of data governance principles and practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across the platform.

Travel – This job will require going onsite to hospitals and will involve up to 25% travel.
