What you’ll do:

The Business Data Analyst will focus on workforce data and analytics, using reporting tools, dashboards, and other sources to track data, monitor KPIs, generate reports and high-quality summaries to support a wide range of human resources programs.

 The focus on this role is having the knowledge and expertise to synthesize human resources data and provide storytelling and decision-support. This position will work in a hybrid capacity with some on site and remote work as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  •   Collect, analyze, and report business data in the areas of recruitment, retention, talent, compensation, diversity and inclusion, employee relations and other workforce topics.
  •   Monitor and assess results from dashboards, analyze activity and opportunities, present information for executives for proposals, summaries, and for decision-support.
  •   Write queries and extract data from systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
  •   Use large data sets to predict and summarize outcomes on KPIs.
  •   Build and maintain dashboards and other reporting tools to track data.
  •   Develops proposals and recommendations for new, revised, and/or improved work processes, policies, procedures, practices, and methods.
  •   Responsible for maintaining databases and extracting data for analysis.
  •   Responds to data requests with useful products enabling actionable outcomes that utilize the most credible and effective data sources.
  •   Maintains and prepares reports that communicate findings from data analyses and provide recommendations for management.
  •   Conducts surveys and studies to collect relevant HR data.
  •   Serves as a subject matter expert for employee related data including headcount, turnover, and other metrics as requested.
  •   Position serves internal co-workers and external customers.
  •   Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  •   Attends meetings and training as required.

Additional special projects may include, but are not limited to:

  •        Works with all levels of management as needed for consulting on data, reporting or planning needs.
  •        Researches and analyzes data representing the organization's operations and workforce demographics. Interprets trends, gaps, opportunities, and patterns of human resource measures.
  •        Researches and develops new methods for collecting data to represent in easily comprehensible graphics.
  •        Works with various partners to design and develop relational databases for collecting data.
  •        Presents detailed and comprehensive reports to a variety of audiences.

What you’ll need:

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, computer science, or a related area of study.

Experience: 

  • Experience in data analysis, warehousing, and reporting.
  • Experience using BI tools (Tableau, Looker) for data visualization and reporting; Facile in Oracle, Taleo, Lawson, UKG; Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience in human resources and workforce data management and analysis preferred.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills.
  • 3-5 plus years of experience with Data Analytics.
