What you’ll do:

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for interfacing directly with end-users and vendors to assess, recommend, design, implement, and support network solutions. Manages the development and maintenance of network design standards. Evaluates and recommends new technologies as they relate to the businesses network strategy. Provides technical leadership and guidance to less experienced team members. Continually enhances departmental knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates network planning and design. Integrates and schematically depicts network architectures, topologies, and traffic flow.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with end users, and other IT departments to understand business needs and network requirements.
  • Supports department staff in the analysis, solution, and documentation of network issues and problems.
  • Analyzes and resolves errors escalated by less experienced team members.
  • Works with management to develop, communicate, implement, and maintain network policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Serves as Network lead on multifunctional project teams within IT and across lines of business as required to support business requirements.
  • Creates and delivers solution proposals to senior leadership to include technical and cost analysis.
  • Coaches, mentors, and provides feedback to less experienced team members regarding departmental procedures, policies, and standards that pertain to the Network teams.
  • Solicits feedback and provides input on department best practices and actively seeks out opportunities for improvement by following industry practices.
  • Continually enhances knowledge of Network engineering and company standards in order to achieve departmental success and professional growth. 

What you’ll need:

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8 years experience as a Network Engineer in a large-scale internetwork environment with proven complex network design experience.
  • Additional experience with Viptela SDWan, Fortinet, and Meraki preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • CCNP, CCIE, Network + or other intermediate to advanced level industry recognized certifications. Previous / expired certifications acceptable.
  • Azure and/or GCP certifications preferred
