Position Summary: 
The Analyst, Conversions team member is a strong IT operator with high degree of technical and project management skills, responsible for converting data from one system to another during the project to ensure data is accurately and securely transferred from the old system to the new system.

Reporting to the Manager, Conversions, the Analyst, Conversions team member will assist with the successful execution of data migration projects. This individual will collaborate closely with the Manager, Conversions and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely data migration from legacy systems to Oracle applications. The position will contribute to data analysis, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting activities to ensure the smooth transition of data during the conversion process.
 
The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of technology and general applications, including expertise in ETL processes, SQL, data structures, scripting, data validation, and reconciliation. Prior experience with ERP systems and Oracle implementations is highly desirable.

The role will be a vital part of the conversions team, ensuring the alignment of all conversion objects with the master data strategy before the actual conversion event(s). Key responsibilities include maintaining effective communication between source system development teams and functional leads, adhering to established timelines, and providing support for data validation and reconciliation processes.

Essential Functions: 

  • Execute against the data conversion plan, in terms of the conversion process, scope, and timelines.
  • Deliver work in accordance with data mapping and transformation rules, ensuring that they are consistent with business requirements and data standards.
  • Perform use case testing for the data conversion and ensure that the data is validated before it is migrated to the new system.
  • Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements, such as data privacy and security regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong discipline, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Work independently and proactively, with a focus on achieving results.
  • Possess excellent analytical, communication, time-management, facilitation, presentation, influencing, and project/portfolio management skills.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in Oracle Conversions or similar data migration roles.
  • Experience with Oracle data conversions including Human Capital/Payroll, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Knowledge of patient accounting systems.
  • Previous experience in programming, scripting, and data transformation across multiple platforms.
  • Background in healthcare and a general understanding of departments, applications, and functional areas associated with an acute care hospital organization.
