POSITION SUMMARY:

Reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer; VP-level position. This position serves as the organization's Revenue Cycle compliance expert, leading and facilitating efforts related to development, implementation, and continuous maturation of the Revenue Cycle compliance program across all lines of business. Primary responsibilities of this role include, for the Revenue Cycle compliance program: (1) establishment and maintenance of robust monitoring processes, including tracking, trending, data mining, and other data analytics; (2) proactive identification of compliance risks; (3) risk-based development of auditing plans; (4) effective articulation of monitoring and auditing findings, recommendations, and follow up actions to executive leadership and Board-level committees; (5) development and integration of compliance program policies for regulatory requirements; (6) ongoing collaboration with Revenue Cycle operational leaders; and (7) development and delivery of education, training, and provision of expert guidance related to the continuous improvement and/or maintenance of compliant practices and outcomes in the Revenue Cycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.  

•    Serve as the organization's subject matter expert in revenue cycle compliance.
•    Lead the development and implementation of the compliance program for the Revenue Cycle.
•    Collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
•    Manage the enterprise governance structure for the Revenue Cycle compliance program. 
•    Provide hands-on guidance and support to operational teams to ensure compliance objectives are met.
•    Use insights from evaluations to refine and improve Revenue Cycle compliance strategies and initiatives and communicate those strategies effectively to key stakeholders across the enterprise.
•    Develop and oversee an integration plan connecting Revenue Cycle compliance monitoring, auditing, investigations, and effectiveness analyses with operational collaborators.
•    Develop and implement tools and methodologies to monitor the effectiveness of compliance pro-grams, particularly in the Revenue Cycle.
•    Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding all work matters, and fully comply with all legal and ethical obligations, the Company Code of Conduct, and the Code of Ethics for Healthcare Professionals adopted by the Health Care Compliance Association.  
•    Regular and reliable attendance.
•    Perform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work. Accountable for articulating quality standards and assuring the quality of final departmental work product. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective actions for staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education: Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred.

Experience: 10+ year of experience, with a proven track record in a senior compliance role within the healthcare industry, preferably at the VP or Director level.

•    Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance challenges specific to the Revenue Cycle.
•    Exhibit a thorough understanding of the dynamic healthcare regulatory and compliance environment and demonstrate an ability to analyze complex healthcare compliance requirements.  

Certifications: Certification in Healthcare Compliance, e.g., CHC®.
