How you'll contribute
A Clinic Manager who excels in this role:
Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Cardiology Clinic, ensuring efficient workflows, exceptional patient experiences, and high-quality service delivery.
Supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate clinic staff, including nursing, clinical support, and front office personnel.
Coordinate provider schedules, call schedules, and clinic coverage to support operational efficiency and patient access.
Assist with hospital charge entry, provider support activities, and practice administration functions.
Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and integration of new providers and staff members.
Establish clear expectations, workflows, and performance standards for clinic personnel and providers.
Monitor clinic operations, productivity, and performance metrics and implement process improvements as needed.
Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership to support strategic growth initiatives.
Develop and implement outreach, marketing, and community engagement activities to increase awareness of cardiology services and expand referral relationships.
Collaborate closely with Cardiopulmonary Services and other departments to ensure seamless patient care and operational alignment.
Maintain regulatory compliance with organizational policies, healthcare regulations, and privacy standards.
Monitor departmental expenses and resource utilization while maintaining fiscal responsibility and budget awareness.
Prepare reports, maintain operational documentation, and support practice performance initiatives.
Assist with expansion efforts, including new provider onboarding, satellite clinic development, and future specialty service growth opportunities.
Participate in planning and implementation activities related to future clinic expansion, including potential nephrology services.
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in related field; applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education. Additional requirements include:
Minimum of 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience managing clinic operations, physician practices, ambulatory services, or related healthcare environments.
Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, scheduling, staffing, patient flow, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and standard business software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous physician practice management experience.
Cardiology clinic experience strongly preferred. Candidates with specialty practice, ambulatory care, or primary care management experience will also be considered.
Experience onboarding physicians and advanced practice providers.
Experience supporting practice growth, community outreach, provider relations, or service line expansion initiatives.
Experience with Athena EMR preferred.
Experience managing multiple clinic locations or specialty service lines preferred.
Demonstrated success in process improvement, employee engagement, and operational excellence initiatives.
