Sovah Health is seeking a PRN Radiology Assistant to perform tasks that assist the technologists in completion of various radiologic procedures.  Primary duties will be related to patient transport.

  • Transport patients from one section of Radiology to another and from other areas of the Medical Center.
  • Assists with cleaning of patient, if necessary.
  • Observe patients awaiting radiographic procedures as well as patients waiting to return to their rooms.
  • Reports any suspected problems to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assists with transfer of patients from stretcher or wheelchair to and from x-ray table or treatment table.
  • Maintains designated work area and equipment in safe condition.
  • Complies with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Cleaned transport equipment as needed.
  • Monitors oxygen tanks for pressure and exchanges tanks when necessary

Minimum Education:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Required Skills:
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  •  Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Certifications/Licenses:
  • Heart Saver CPR American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Minimum Work Experience:
  • Prior patient care experience preferred.
