How you'll contribute 

Director of Respiratory Therapist who excels in this role:

  • Direct the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  •  Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. 
  • Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, and ensure that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
  • Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
  • Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards
  • Responsible for hiring, training and development, performance reviews, and administering corrective actions for staff.

What we're looking for 
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in related field. Additional requirements include:

  • Valid and current state board of respiratory care license.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) 

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) 

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) 

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
