Working as a team, respond, treat, and react quickly and calmly to emergency and non-emergency situations to provide efficient and immediate, advanced and basic life support, care to the ill and injured. Ensure that during a shift that the assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared to respond to a single or multiple patient incidents. Ensure that during a shift that the assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared to respond to single or multiple patient incidents. Be responsible for schedules and coverage if other personnel are not available to cover a shift. Shift work requires a mixture of days, nights, and twenty-four-hour coverage to ensure adequate coverage for the service. Harris EMS area of operation including patient's houses, infrastructures, hospitals, and long-term care facilities

 

The duties described herein are minimum standards and may be modified to meet the changing needs of Harris Health System at any time.

What we're looking for

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job.  However, an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.

  • High School Diploma required. Associate's degree or higher is preferred.

  • Current EMT Certification, National Registry Preferred.

  • One year EMT experience, preferred 

  • AHA, ARC, ASHI/HSI CPR
