Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, the pharmacist is responsible for the filling of patient prescriptions and the education and counseling of physicians, staff and patients regarding medication(s). In addition, the staff pharmacist is responsible for training and supervision of staff pharmacy technicians, ensuring policies and protocols are followed. The staff pharmacist will also precept students as needed.

Training and Continued Education

Opportunities for further education and training are available to our employees. 

Minimum Education

  • Graduated from a school of Pharmacy, Pharm. D. preferred.

Required Licenses

  • Currently licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the VA State Board of Pharmacy.
