This position services as the Nurse Lead for RHC Clinics. Responsible for performing clinical tasks under the
direction of the RN and/or Physician in the Physician Clinic. Provide guidance, training and schedule
coordination for nursing staff.
Reports to: Office Manager I or II per clinic structure
FLSA: Non-exempt

Under the direction of an RN and/or Physician, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for
analysis by an RN and/or Physician.
Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer
medication. Documents patient care given.
Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN and/or
Physician, patient, and families.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Teaches and reinforces education appropriately to patient and/or family throughout clinic visit.
Ensures patients receive the highest level of quality care and attention from nursing staff.
Ensures nursing staff follow the doctor and other providers instructions.
Leads nursing staff functions which includes assisting the office manager with recruiting and training of all
nurses and healthcare professionals.
Creates and manages the nurse work schedules.
Reviews and updates nursing guidelines.
Assists with nursing protocols and RHC rules and regulations.
Coordinates nurse staff meetings.
Listens to nursing concerns and provides counseling if needed. Elevates concerns to the appropriate leader, as
needed, based on the level and type of concern.
Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education:
LPN education required to obtain LPN licensure
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer skills required.
Certifications:
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 90
days of hire, if not current upon hire.
License: Current TN or Multi-State LPN licensure
Minimum Work Experience:
1 year LPN experience Required
Experience in Family Practice and/or Specialty Physician Clinic Preferred
