In this role, you will oversee and provide professional nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Unit. You will handle day to day operations including completion of staff schedules per guidelines, responsibility for updating policies and procedures, along with serving as a discharge nurse while working closely with the OB/GYN Clinic.


Required Skills:

·         Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 

·         Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

·         Works independently with proven organizational skills and attention to detail

·         Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment

·         Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external

·         Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

 

Position Requirements:

·         Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in nursing required

·         Current state of Michigan RN license required

·         Fetal Monitoring Course Completion, S.T.A.B.L.E to be completed within 6 months of hire required

·         AWHONN bundle to completed within 1 year of hire required

·         LDRP experience required

·         Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required

·         Management experience preferred

·         BLS and NRP required (available upon hire)

·         Annual influenza vaccination or declination required (available upon hire)

 

Position Details:

1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

Exempt position

8 hour shifts

Weekdays only

No weekends or holidays
