An exciting opportunity for a Sterile Processing Coordinator is now available in our Surgical Department. As a team leader in this area, you will also oversee all activities in sterile processing, decontamination, and endoscopy scope processing, including documentation of sterilization, sterilizer monitoring and controls per processing guidelines for AAMI, AORN, TJC and OSHA. You will work with Surgical Technologists to assure all sterile processing standards and best practices are met.


Required Skills:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external

 

Position Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Successful completion of a Central Service Management certification examination or certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required

Certification by the CBSPD or equivalent certification required at hire or within 1 year of hire

Minimum of 3 years relevant healthcare experience required

2 years of experience in Central Sterile preferred

Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

 

Position Details:

1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

Weekdays only, Monday-Thursday

10-hour shifts

No holidays
