Position Summary

Assists the Case Management department with the non-clinical daily functions to ensure timely communication between insurance and post-acute care providers.

Reports to: Case Management Director

 

Responsibilities of the Position

Works with CM staff and must adhere to HIPAA compliance with assigned duties.

Works with patient access for any corrections to insurance information.

Downloads/uploads patient data and sends electronic medical file to appropriate location.

Documents transmission of patient data in real time and notifies staff of any denials.

Provides support to CM staff as assigned and appropriate.

Assist the DCM with running of reports, scheduling meetings, etc.

Answer phone calls as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Education

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Associates Degree is preferred.

 

Required Skills

Typing, computer skills, proper telephone etiquette, attention to detail, able to work independently, able to take direction, able to multi-task, able to work under time constraints.

 

Minimum Work Experience

At least 6 months of work experience in a clinical setting.
