Job Summary

The Senior Director of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations activities in the

organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet

current and future needs of the organization in tandem with the COO.

Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.

 

Essential Functions

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Ability to handle multiple assignments,

balance priorities, make decisions quickly, and establish and maintain working relationships with a wide variety of

people.

Strategically manage, organize, and coordinate employees from different departments and locations to ensure

efficiency.

Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with community and other professionals and

organizations in the industry.

Implement financial procedures and organizational polices and programs to drive the company’s operating

capabilities to surpass the industry average.

Works with the Senior Management to set and drive the organizational vision and mission while building a highly

inclusive culture to ensure team members thrive.

Support hospital initiatives in meeting core measures, patient safety, and service excellent goals, including but not

limited to CMS Star Rating and Leapfrog.

Demonstrates computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems.

Has the knowledge and ability to use measurement tools, integrate data, and prepare meaningful reports.

Minimum Education

Batchelor’s degree and MBA, MPH, MHA or master’s degree in industry related field or graduation from master’s

degree program within one year of hire.

 

Minimum Work Experience

Five plus years of proven experience managing complex enterprise finances, operations, and resources.

Understanding of evidence-based practices and performance improvement methodologies. Excellent communication

and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of Joint

Commission standards and other regulatory requirements pertaining to healthcare organizations.
