Job Specifications / Qualifications

Two years experience in healthcare risk management or quality management.  Related healthcare experience in leadership positions, public speaking, quality/performance improvement, and/or related hospital clinical experience is important to the successful performance of this position.

Must possess a general knowledge of facility insurance programs.

Must administer the risk management program on a day-to-day basis.

Manages and analyzes risk management data, trending, identifying gaps in results or program aspects and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Prepares reports to communicate data findings and analysis of information.

Conducts education applicable to risk management and patient safety initiatives.

Complies with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Formulates policy to support risk management initiatives and principles.

Participates in committees to integrate risk management into committee work product.

Interfaces with the corporate risk management department on claims management, minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility.

Responsible for reviewing and formulating policy or organizational changes and making recommendations for final approval by senior management and the board.

Education

Must be graduate of a school of nursing.  BSN preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Currently licensed (unrestricted) in the State of Arkansas.
