This role performs all driving responsibilities in a safe, thorough, legal, and timely manner.

Keeps courier vehicle clean and well maintained; performing routine vehicle inspection and reports any visible concerns requiring attention or repair.

Must exhibit flexibility in necessary assignment changes in courier route and assignments on a day to day basis dependent upon facility needs.

Communicates timely all delays or problems with pickups and deliveries with director and others involved.

Receives and enters data into SMART system in a timely, accurate manner.

Matches purchase orders, receiving documents, packing slips with signed delivery ticket and files in a timely and accurate manner.

Receives, inspects, verifies, accepts, or rejects all supplies and equipment delivered to the hospital and processes related documentation (i.e. packing slips, bills of lading, receiving documents) for payment authorization.

Stocks shelves in Materials Management and other areas.


Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Licenses:

Must have a clean, current NM driver's license and appropriate insurance as per the facility driver's agreement.
