Centra and Lifepoint Behavioral Health, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, have announced their joint venture partnership to build and operate a new inpatient behavioral health hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia. This new construction will be approximately 75,000 square-foot, 72-bed hospital,  providing compassionate treatment, including crisis-stabilization, inpatient care, and outpatient programs for those experiencing mental health and substance use concerns. Our philosophy is built on a psychosocial model of care to decrease suicide rates, decrease addiction-related deaths, reverse the decline in life expectancy, and improve productivity in the communities we serve. What you will do in this role:

  • Ensures compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures timely, relevant, and accurate financial information is provided to the corporate office.
  • Strives to enhance hospital visibility by involvement in community regarding mental health and substance abuse community needs.
  • Supervises the Leadership Team and functions as a liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and employees.
  • Express ideas effectively in individual, public, and group situations and works collaboratively to find solutions to problems. Role models competence, enthusiasm, and commitment to quality that is desired from all hospital staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare and/or administration. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Working knowledge of the addiction and recovery field and experience in clinical practice, working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, and communication with organization or comparable entities preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must provide proof of auto insurance.
