What we're looking for
The Manager, Risk Management assists with the organization's risk management activities, which include the investigation and management of claims in conjunction with outside legal counsel. Manages and analyzes risk management data and conducts risk management educational programs, all with the objective of controlling and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the organization. Investigates and follows up on concerns and complaints. Promote patient safety and implement Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals Standards.

Administer various programs that comply with all applicable regulations and policies in support of Hospital initiatives.
Interpret and apply appropriate laws/regulations to program development and administration.
Compare the rules and regulations of Hospital programs with pertinent state and/or federal codes and laws to check for compliance.
Modify existing programs in response to new standards and/or federal codes/laws.
Develop, implement, and monitor Hospital programs, which comply with state and federal standards and support Hospital mission.
Review medical records and abstracts the appropriate data elements associated with core measures and chest pain accreditation
Enter abstractions into specified data collection applications.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPLIANCE
Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
Skilled in the application of policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Risk management or abstraction experience preferred
- Current RN license to practice in the state of KY
- BLS certification with 30 days of hire
