How you'll contribute 

As the Physician Services Director, you will excel in this role by: 

  • Develop and implement departmental goals, operational plans, and performance standards aligned with organizational, clinical, regulatory, and ethical requirements.

  • Direct and evaluate daily departmental operations, including patient care coordination, provider engagement, service delivery, and resolution of operational issues to ensure high-quality outcomes.

  • Lead workforce planning and staff development activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, scheduling, and continuing education initiatives.

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage departmental budgets to ensure effective resource utilization and financial accountability.

  • Utilize performance data, quality metrics, and reporting tools to identify opportunities for improvement and support operational excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies, including oversight of audits, reporting, and readiness for regulatory surveys.

  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented environment that supports professional growth, accountability, and strong interdisciplinary partnerships.

What we're looking for  

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and progressive leadership experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Extensive leadership experience in healthcare operations, physician services, ambulatory services, or clinical administration, with demonstrated success in a director-level or comparable role.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards, including HIPAA and compliance best practices.

  • Proven ability to lead teams through performance management, staff development, workforce planning, and organizational change.

  • Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in budget development, variance analysis, and driving operational efficiency and performance improvement.

  • Strong physician relations and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across clinical and administrative teams.

  • Executive-level communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead complex initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
