Position Summary

The Medical Group/Physician Services at Jackson Purchase Medical Center embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. We strive to Make Communities Healthier. We strive to create places where patients choose to come for healthcare, where providers desire to practice, and Team Members want to work.  The Clinic Coordinator provides maintenance of the daily operations and general management of the practices. Allocating and assigning duties to employees, monitoring activities and operations of the Practice components.

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. 
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. 
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. 
  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. 
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. 
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Certifications and Licenses

  • BLS is required

This position may be filled by one of the following qualified professionals. The required credentials must be current and maintained throughout employment:

  • Medical Assistant (MA):
    • Must possess and maintain current certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited certifying body.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
    • Must possess and maintain a valid and current LPN license.
  • Radiologic Technologist (Radiology Tech):
    • Must possess and maintain current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Imaging Technologist (Imaging Tech):
    • Must possess and maintain either:
      • A valid limited x-ray operator license, or
      • ARRT certification.
